Tissue paper packaging is a thin lightweight paper that is manufactured from recycled paper pulp. This type of packaging has no end of uses but is most often used for wrapping and crafts. Tissue paper types and uses

• Acid Free – Acid free tissue paper will not tarnish the product that is wrapped up inside it; the paper is made from wood pulp and is fully bleached. Most commonly used by Jewellery stores that sell silver items will always use this special type of tissue. Failure to use an acid free tissue paper for silver will result in the goods looking tarnished, returned goods by the customer and further expense in providing a replacement.
• Machine Glazed CAP Tissue – Cap tissue is a good alternative to acid free tissue paper were tarnishing is not an issue for your products. It is frequently used by the clothing industry and is very good for wrapping and adding a protective layer to your goods. As a general wrapping paper it is ideal for void filling, house moving, wrapping china and glassware. This paper is glazed to give a slight shine on one side. As this tissue paper is acid free and anti tarnish it is suitable for use with jewellery and silverware.
• Machine Glazed – MG tissue paper is a soft, economical, off-white tissue that has a machine glaze on one side, but is not acid free. MG tissue paper is ideal for general wrapping, scrunching, void-filling and interleaving. This kind of tissue paper is mostly used by the garment, bakery, home removal and retail the trades.

Tissue paper is typically sold by the ream; a ream would typically contain 480 individual sheets of tissue paper. Sheets usually measure around 500mm x 750mm, 450mm x 700mm or 375mm x 500mm.

IMPORTANT: – Coloured tissue is not guaranteed colour fast. Always test before using on your products.
